Lemon Bavarian Dessert

This was introduced to me by my Mother-in-law. We had it a few Saturdays ago after a delicious dinner. Only we had Raspberry. My husband and I enjoyed it so much, I decided to make it at home. It was quick and easy and my parents loved it as much as we did!


There are a couple nice things about this dessert too: you can use any flavor jello you want, you can swap the greek yogurt with sour cream for a richer version, you can also use sugar free jello and or sugar free cool whip for less sugar.


The recipe is as follows:


1 package Jello (Lemon, Raspberry or try a flavor you enjoy!)

3/4 c heated water

1 c greek yogurt or sour cream

1 tsp vanilla

2 c cool whip


Steps:


  1. In a medium bowl, mix the jello and water. Stir until jello is dissolved

  2. Stir in yogurt (or sour cream) and vanilla

  3. Refrigerate for 10 minutes

  4. Fold in cool whip

  5. Spoon into individual bowls for serving or you can leave in the bowl or place in another container

  6. Refrigerate


  1. until firm

  2. Serve with fresh fruit (We used Raspberries on both the Raspberry and Lemon)
